The Power of a Dream

Today is a day of remembrance in the United States, where we pause to acknowledge the dream, the life, and the impact of Martin Luther King Jr., an incredible leader!

I was a public speaking instructor for many years. And in every section of every course I taught over many years, we watched Dr. King's famous "I Have a Dream" speech as a model of the power of words. 

I have watched it close to 100 times, but NEVER have I watched it without being moved to tears. 

Dr. King was a leader with a noble and compelling vision who used his influence to make the world a better place.

May we all develop our capacity to bring people together, with a message of unity and love, and in the service of a noble vision!
